A friend tried to book a flight on-line using an international credit card but they wouldn’t process it without him photocopying the front and back of the card and faxing it to a number, which is a no-no. So he asked me if I would book the flight for him, which I did, and then he got an e-mail asking for the same thing from me, along with a copy of my driver’s licence, home address, age, and signature FAXED to a number. Too much information is being requested and on checking with Mastercard, they advised that under no circumstances should this information ever be provided by fax, and even though I did not provide it, they cancelled my credit card and will be replacing it. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY AS THEY ARE LIKELY SELLING THE INFORMATION TO OTHERS FOR SINISTER PURPOSES.
